Music Director: Liz Tremblay (she/her)

I am originally from UK, and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England. I taught and performed as part of a string quartet for the Menuhin Foundation of Bermuda where I also met my husband, Mark. Collectively we have four adult children, now flung across the globe.

We arrived in Kingston, Ontario in 2005 spending precious time with Mark’s family whilst enjoying playing for the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and directing music at Christchurch, Cataraqui. In 2012, we moved out West and I have enjoyed many musical collaborations with different groups including the Symphony of the Kootenays, principal cellist for Rocky Mountain Symphony Orchestra and accompanist for the Calgary German Men’s Choir.

I came to St Stephen’s in 2019, and I have enjoyed every minute so far, getting to know the members of the congregation and working with the choir. I am honoured to be a part of such a dedicated team and truly appreciate the choir for their friendship, musicianship, sense of humour and commitment. Music truly does bind us together.

When not playing or teaching I enjoy walking my dogs, hiking, swimming, yoga, reading, knitting, cooking – in fact there simply are not enough hours in the day!

Liz holds choir practice on Thursday evenings. All are welcome to join! She helps the congregation make a joyful noise every Sunday at the 10:30am service. She can be reached at 403-244-4879 or [email protected]
